Wurdack Research Center

Local source of money — S&T has recently used Wurdack Farm, located in our neighborhood, for UAV research. It would be good for projects that need acres of cleared space and very little EM interference.

Good Afternoon – –

I would like to solicit short proposals from anyone interested in conducting research or demonstration on the MU Wurdack Research Center.  These proposals only need be one or two pages, and should present a summary of your proposed project, expected outcomes/deliverables, and relevance to the region or Missouri.  Please include a budget, which should identify how requested dollars will be spent.  Proposals and budgets may be from 1-3 years in duration.  Money has been historically used to fund educational activities and research taking place on Wurdack, and of benefit to that region of the state.  Preference is typically given for proposals that offer some level of matching funding, but that is not necessary.  Please see the attached files as examples of previously funded proposals.

Currently, we would like to see proposals with budgets between $10,000 – $30,000.  Though I realize we’re not talking about an extremely large sum of money, proposals can use Wurdack dollars to match, or leverage, in support of grants.

I have a Wurdack Advisory Committee meeting this June, so proposals need to be submitted back to me by Friday, June 3rd.  Please feel free to forward to others who may be interested.

Thanks – I look forward to working with each of you to enhance Wurdack as a state resource.

Please freely forward this to appropriate individuals,
