Happy Holidays — just a few things have popped:

Manufacturing Machines and Equipment (MME) National Science Foundation (NSF) Directorate for Engineering (ENG) Division of Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Innovation (CMMI): A focus is on the advancement of manufacturing machines and related systems engineering that will enable energy manufacturing, namely the manufacture of facilities and equipment that will enable the conversion of renewable resources into energy products such as electricity and liquid fuels, on a large scale. The program also supports research on additive manufacturing, laser processing and bonding/joining processes encompassing feature scales from microns to meters. Proposals with focus on materials for these processes are also welcome in MME.

Environmental Management Research Participation Program for the U.S. Army Environmental Command (USAEC) Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Through theORISE Environmental Management Participation Program, opportunities exist to participate in the following areas: environmental projects involving cultural and natural resources, restoration, compliance, conservation, pollution prevention, validation, demonstration, technology transfer, quality assurance and quality control, training, information management and reporting, and related programs.

LIMITED Second Call For Proposals Alpha Foundation for the Improvement of Mine Safety and Health, Inc. seeking to award research addressing the root causes of disease, injuries, and fatalities in the mining industry and achieve successful implementation of practical solutions derived from the research effort
